Meet the team
Director
Brendan moved to Tauranga in 2019 and began working at Alliance RV. After throwing himself into the world of RV Brendan decided he thoroughly enjoyed this new line of work and then in October 2021 purchased the business with his fiancé Amanda from the previous owners who decided it was their time to retire.
After training as a Marine Mechanic, Brendan then worked for many years both in sales and service positions in the Marine industry. His years in the Marine industry have provided Brendan with a great deal of knowledge and expertise which has helped with his transition to the RV industry. Brendan has a new found love of anything RV and enjoys all aspects of running a successful business. Whether it be serving the customers out the front or hands on in the workshop Brendan is here to
help customers have a great experience dealing with Alliance RV.
In his spare time Brendan enjoys everything outdoors from camping to motorcycle riding. Many a weekend is spent enjoying the comforts of their caravan and thinking of new ways to make the RV experience better for like-minded people!
Director
After many years raising a family and working in retail venturing into Business Amanda decided to try something new and now as a director of the Company
manages the administration side of the business. After never working in an administration role Amanda is embracing the new challenge and finds it exciting and rewarding.
Amanda loves to go camping with Brendan on weekends with their dogs Ranger and Chloe and trying out different RV products. When Amanda is not away camping she enjoys spending time with her family.
Workshop Manager
Parts Specialist
Originally from the UK, Jason has been in NZ since 2005 and would not want to live anywhere else.
He is a passionate, award winning photographer. He loves to travel NZ in his spare time capturing its beautiful landscapes. He is also known for his rally photography, covering most of the countries top events.
When time allows he has a motorhome and loves to take it to the South Island and explore.
RV Technician
Bryan and his partner Fritha have come over from the UK to take up the NZ lifestyle and became permanent residents in 2006.
They both bring a wealth of skills and personality to our shores and we are pleased to have them in our team.
Bryan's background is with working on Telescopes in such places as the Canary Islands, Hawaii, India, China and even Australia, which then, with the arrival of two girls, led into more settled and family friendly roles in Mechatronics and Automation Engineering.
His broad and technical strength in Electronics Engineering is a great addition to our team, and moving forward with advances in the technology of the products and appliances being used in RV's, we see Bryan's addition to the team a real asset.
RV Technician
Due to a turn of events in the local bus building industry, we were fortunate enough to meet Lourens, a qualified auto electrician, with many years experience working on larger vehicles in both electrical and mechanical fields.
Lourens, his wife Michaela and their family came to NZ from South Africa back in 2004, and have settled in Te Puke.
His sense of humour, high standards and kind nature have made him an easy fit with the Alliance culture & team.
RV Technician / Registered Electrician
We couldn't believe our luck when Keith showed up asking if we had a space for him on our team. As a Registered Electrician for over 30 years and all round Jack we made sure we did.
Keith & wife Sue are keen motorhomers themselves and are active members of the Wakerley Motorhome group. His 'Can Do' attitude, willingness to learn and pick things up quickly matched with an all be it quiet but fantastic sense of humor have allowed for a very easy transition into our team.
RV Technician
Steve approached us to look at joining our team on the floor, his experience in the joinery trade on the tools and qualifications in coach building / panel beating and carpentry all make him a great 'Jack of all' to add to our team.
Steve & his wife enjoy keeping busy at home on their lifestyle block or out caravanning which they have been doing for over 30 years now, so he knows what is important for our customers and their needs to enjoy their RV.
RV Technician
Another jack of all trades Nick hugely complements the wider team skills among the technicians at Alliance RV.
Nick has worked as a motor home and caravan technician since 2017 and has a very broad skill set. Nick is excellent at troubleshooting the many different technologies that are found in RV's these days - from computer controlled 3-way fridge / freezers, water and heating systems, smart TV's and satellite dishes.Originally from the UK it was a job as a highly skilled engineer that brought Nick to New Zealand. So of course anything mechanical is second nature for him.
He too is an RV enthusiast and owns a late model Adria motorhome. The RV life is only second to his main passion which is his loud and fast Yamaha motorcycle.
