Brendan Grant - Managing Director (Cleaner)
Taking the brave plunge, Brendan decided to move from Taupo to Tauranga to be with his fiancé Amanda. During this transition he also chose to move out of the Marine industry and has found the transition into the RV industry a fresh challenge. After training as a Marine Mechanic in the late 80's to early 2000's, Brendan then moved on to Sales for Lusty & Blundell & then over to Yamaha. A change of location saw him land in Taupo working for Trev Terry Marine were he looked after sales, workshop operations and customer demonstrations. This previous experience both on the floor and in front of the customer has given us a great foundation to work on with Brendan as he continuously strives to learn more about the subtle differences in our industry compared to the marine side. His big personality is matched equally by his big heart and genuine care to help people.
Leon Clark - RV Technician
Even though Leon and his Wife Miranda keep very busy lives between Miranda's business and other community activities, their little girl, family and a passion for all forms of cycling, Leon somehow manages to fit in overtime when required. Being a born and raised Tauranga local, and having spent time working at On The Way RV for 11 years from 2006, there are many of our existing customers who are already familiar with his high standard of work. Prior to joining the RV industry, Leon spent time in Auto Electrical roles, Small Motor Machining, light Engineering and in very early years at a local bike shop. Todd & Leon had previously worked alongside each other on various jobs for OWRV, so they both knew how each other worked, and when the opportunity came up for Leon to join our team it was a very quick yes from us, as we knew he would be a great fit.
Bryan Donnelly - RV Technician
Bryan and his partner Fritha have come over from the UK to take up the NZ lifestyle and became permanent residents in 2006. They both bring a wealth of skills and personality to our shores and we are pleased to have them in our team. Bryan's background is with working on Telescopes in such places as the Canary Islands, Hawaii, India, China and even Australia, which then, with the arrival of two girls, led into more settled and family friendly roles in Mechatronics and Automation Engineering. His broad and technical strength in Electronics Engineering is a great addition to our team, and moving forward with advances in the technology of the products and appliances being used in RV's, we see Bryan's addition to the team a real asset.
Lourens Stols - RV Technician
Due to a turn of events in the local bus building industry, we were fortunate enough to meet Lourens, a qualified auto electrician, with many years experience working on larger vehicles in both electrical and mechanical fields. Lourens, his wife Michaela and their family came to NZ from South Africa back in 2004, and have settled in Te Puke. His sense of humour, high standards and kind nature have made him an easy fit with the Alliance culture & team.
Keith Mayall - RV Technician / Registered Electrician
We couldn't believe our luck when Keith showed up asking if we had a space for him on our team. As a Registered Electrician for over 30 years and all round Jack we made sure we did. Keith & wife Sue are keen motorhomers themselves and are active members of the Wakerley Motorhome group. His 'Can Do' attitude, willingness to learn and pick things up quickly matched with an all be it quiet but fantastic sense of humor have allowed for a very easy transition into our team.
Steve Hawkless - RV Technician
Steve approached us to look at joining our team on the floor, his experience in the joinery trade on the tools and qualifications in coach building / panel beating and carpentry all make him a great 'Jack of all' to add to our team. Steve & his wife enjoy keeping busy at home on their lifestyle block or out caravanning which they have been doing for over 30 years now, so he knows what is important for our customers and their needs to enjoy their RV.
